VCF Juvenil B mathematically seal top spot with win over Deportivo Alcoyano (1-3)

VCF Juvenil sealed top spot in group VIII-B of Liga Nacional after easing past Deportivo Alcoyano by a 1-3 scoreline on Wednesday evening. VCF Juvenil B cap off a brilliant first half of the season by tightening their grip at the top of the table with four matchdays in the first group stage left to play.    

VCF Juvenil were off to a magnificent start thanks to Carlos Rodríguez opener on 20 minutes. Moments later, Mario Domínguez doubled their lead from twelve yards out right before the interval.

Deportivo Alcoyano reduced the deficit after the restart but VCF Juvenil B restored their two goal lead through Jesús Santiago at the death to run out 1-3 victors. José Luis Jesús Bravo’s side are sitting pretty at the top of the table on 45 points. 14 wins, 3 draws and one loss, 35 goals in favour and only 6 against in 18 matchdays.
